24. SACHA TANJA MEDAL 2005, cast bronze, 81x82 mm, edition 33, (c) This medal is a hommage to Sacha Tanja, in her lifetime director of the artcollection of the bank ING. She was a notably stimulator for the Dutch figurative arts and the medal is meant to honour important Dutch figurative artists. obverse: Sacha Tanja seen from her back holding her own medal in hands reverse: a smiling Sacha Tanja seems to look in a mirror, just as the spectator does. A great realist refers both to her and to the person who receives the medal which name is to be engraved. This medal was issued to the painters Matthijs Röling (2005) and Barend Blankert (2006)
